Project Status

Baramchi Hydroelectric Plant in Sindhupalchowk district is one of the high head plants of Nepal. It is a run of river type project and has designed discharge of 0.88 m3/s and gross head of 615 m. The initial installed capacity of the project was 1 MW which was upgraded to 4.2 MW installed capacity in 2067The project is developed 22G Wh annually. The energy generated from the project is evacuated through 18 km long 33 kV transmission line to NEA substation at Lamosanghu, Sindhupalchowk. The project is owned by Unique Hydel Co Ltd.
